*Do you have one to add?*

Deut. 6:9 "These commandments that I give you today are to be upon your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. Tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads."

Great list!

I'm always amazed at the things that my preschooler remembers and thinks about when it comes to Bible stories.

Wish I had taken the time to do some of these things with my children...Now I know I am going to have to take the time to do it with the smallest one...Love, RC

Love the list! Love Matt's addition. My kids love bubbles. I like going for walks and hikes with my kids (easy hikes, anyway).

i love the wrestling and reading the bible, even though our little one still wants to be in control of page turning

I taught them how to love and serve other people. We used to work at the food bank, mow our neighbor's lawn for free, work sorting and folding clothes in the benevolence office, we even gave blood together after they turned 18. There have been times as they have grown that I see selfishness and wonder if they learned the lesson but then there are other times when they go out of their way, above and beyond just to serve someone else. It makes me proud.
Love the list Monalea.

nb, when my kids were little I was not as in tuned to their aping abilities as I am now that I'm a grandmother. It is amazing what 'little magnets' they are.

RC, I can't wait to hear of things you start doing with your 'little one', keep me posted.

Matt, bubbles were pretty traumatic with my kids. Rachel would hold the bubble in her left hand, the wand in her right hand, blow bubbles and swat them with the hand holding the container, thus splashing bubbles all over herself and anyone within a 3 yard radius. Needless to say, when she bathed that night we didn't have to use soap, she already had it all over her. We just add water and lather.

Lisa, usually we didn't go for walks.....we went for runs. Actually they walked really fast and I had to run to keep up.

Brian, I remember the days of page turning; actually more like page wrestling.

Neva, that is great that you taught your kids 'service.' I too sometimes wonder if my kids got the things I tried to teach them. Then I peer down into their sleeping faces (when they are visiting) and see that they truly are wonderful and amazing!

Well, the one good thing that me and the little one do is scouting together...He loves it and enjoys it so much and I love looking at his little face when he accomplishes something...As for the oldest one, just going to movies and getting our hands and feet done together...I miss the days when they (especially the oldest one)were smaller and I could get down in the floor and play, now I can't get up...Love, RC

I thought we would just sit and watch tv and eat candy all summer.

I enjoyed your list and I love doing those things and the ones mentioned with my kiddos. We also enjoy going to visit people that need a hello.

The wind is blowing so hard today I thought I would see the www blow by on my walk today. I was disappointed when she never appeared.

You've also done a good job teaching them it's okay to have fun in the world. You can laugh during hard times. And cry sometimes too.

You have good kids.

RC, Your babies will forever remember all the special things you did with them. I really like getting nails and feet done. That is better than blowing bubbles or making cookies.

Kathy, I did fly by, but was going so fast you kept missing me. Actually I pitched dirt in you face several times.

Trey, thanks for your kind words. Had a fun 2 days with you guys.
